Hypnosis to stop smoking:

The best method of quitting the habit

Hypnosis to stop smoking

Hypnosis to stop smoking has got to be the best method of quitting the habit. You get the results you want instantly and it’s better for you.

Otherwise, the help you usually get means nicotine replacement in one form or another.

Help to stop smoking

There are various methods of getting nicotine into your blood stream which don’t necessitate smoking. These include: tablets, gum, patches, inhalers, chewing gum and lozenges. The theory is that they help to get you out of the habit of smoking while at the same time, satisfying your cravings for nicotine.

We’re told they won’t cause cancer because they don’t contain the toxic compounds such as carbon monoxide or tar found in cigarettes. You have to make up your own mind about this though. In the USA, one of the nicotine tablets has been withdrawn pending investigation that it’s linked to suicide.

Of course, the advice is to check with your doctor first if you are pregnant, take medicine or have heart or circulatory problems.

Many of these products are provided for free by the NHS in the UK and therefore many people are persuaded to give them a try. Indeed, the manufacturers suggest you have twice as much chance of quitting using one of these methods.

Weaning yourself off cigarettes this way though, isn’t the end of the problem. Because there’s still the issue of quitting whatever alternative you’ve chosen. And that can be yet another uphill struggle because you can become addicted to the replacement instead. How much better to use hypnosis to stop smoking. It's drug-free, non-addictive, works instantly and helps you stay a non-smoker for life.

Clients addicted to cigarette substitutes

For example, a client of ours, in Northampton, UK, wanted help to quit the lozenge addiction she’d had for the 6 years since she stopped smoking. Another client’s wife had persuaded him to see us about chewing tobacco. Again, he’d begun this habit, when he gave up smoking.

For both of these clients, they’d replaced one problem with another. You won’t be surprised that in both cases the health of their mouths had deteriorated. One had ulcers and the other, diseased gums and loose teeth. Both had very bad breath.

Between 70-80% of smokers say they want to quit and approximately 95% have already tried and failed. However, according to the manufacturers of these replacement products, only 5-10% are successful at any particular attempt. Other surveys suggest 2.5% is more accurate.

So at very best, these alternative methods of delivering nicotine only give you up to a 20% chance of becoming a non-smoker.

And that’s not very reassuring in our book. Now that you know about hypnosis to stop smoking, why would you attempt to be a non-smoker any other way?

In any case, we’re horrified that anyone would want to wean themselves slowly off nicotine. OK, it sounds easy enough, but what we’re really talking about is, continually feeding ourselves a little less of it than our body wants – in other words – being in a constant state of withdrawal.

Let me say that again – a constant state of withdrawal. Ouch!

We wouldn’t wish that on our worst enemy.

Use Cognitive Hypnotherapy to stop smoking

Instead, if you were to use cognitive hypnotherapy to stop smoking, your body is able to clear out all that nicotine in 48 hours. Anyone who has managed to stop smoking but then has gone back to it again after this period, is reacting to the psychological dependence, not an addiction to nicotine.

Those 48 hours are often the most difficult, and there are three things that usually send people flying back to their old habits.

Most people don’t know about them and therefore fall prey to their worst effects. So keep reading. As they say, ignorance is painful, knowledge is power. When you use our hypnosis to stop smoking, these issues are addressed so they don't thwart your efforts to become a non-smoker.
